You can choose to have the Electric AGA in an island unit, on a party wall or on an outside wall. The technology behind the 13-amp Electric AGA is both simple and effective. Extraordinarily, the cooker works on a standard 13-amp plug – just like a kettle – taking small amounts of power, as required, to keep it at cooking temperature.

It’s also fabulously easy to install. With no flue or chimney necessary, the installation process is so much simpler. And, as the installation is a simpler process, less building work is required, making it quicker and easier to have your AGA up and running and ready to go.

The 13-amp Electric AGA also doesn’t require an annual service. A service check at the end of five years is recommended and there’s a product warranty provided as standard, meaning there’s one less thing to wait in for.

Food tastes better because the AGA uses gentle radiant heat from the oven’s cast-iron walls. Flavour and goodness is sealed in and food remains moist, as there’s no drying effect, which is common with convection ovens.

It’s also ready when you are – in today’s hectic environment it’s difficult to think of a more relevant cooker than one that requires no pre-heating, so is always prepared to meet the demands placed on it by life in a busy kitchen.

AIMS EXPLAINED

An AGA ’s always had a soul, now it has a brain

From July 2007, the much-praised Electric AGA – which runs on a standard 13-amp connection – has included the hugely innovative AGA Intelligent Management System (AIMS) as standard.

AIMS is a sophisticated program, which allows you to adjust the output of your AGA to suit your way of life using a beautifully simple and exquisitely stylish remote - control handset. In short, it means that your AGA can sleep when you sleep and only operate at normal power when you need it.

The AIMS program is ultimately flexible –it is supplied pre-set, with two active periods each day. In this mode, your AGA will be at normal temperature ready to cook breakfast in the morning, drop down to a lower temperature during the day and then return to normal temperature ready to prepare dinner in the evening. After dinner, the system automatically enters ‘slumber’ mode, its lowest temperature.

But you can program your 13-amp heat storage AGA to perform exactly as you need it. For those days when you are not planning on using your AGA in the morning, for example, you can over-ride the default settings and choose two completely different cooking times.

Alternatively, you could, of course, have it running at ‘normal’ temperature all day – perhaps if you were planning on doing a lot of baking or wanted to raise the ambient temperature of the kitchen over a winter weekend.

The system can also be set to ‘holiday’ mode, which will keep the AGA on either the lowest energy setting (or off) during the selected dates, before automatically restarting in time for the family’s arrival back home. This setting allows for full day/month/year selection to allow for longer holidays and any program setting can easily be overridden by the simple pressing of a button on the AGA itself.
